DIVYA DELHI : Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates will attend the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam and deliver his keynote as scheduled, the Gates Foundation confirmed, dismissing media reports suggesting otherwise. Gates joins other tech leaders, including Sam Altman and Sundar Pichai, at the international summit. Ahead of the summit, Gates praised Andhra Pradesh’s rapid development, highlighting innovations in health, agriculture, and education accelerated through AI and technology. During his visit to Amaravati and Guntur district, he met state officials, reviewed tech-led governance initiatives, and toured a banana orchard. The AI Impact Summit, the first international AI summit in the Global South, features over 300 exhibition pavilions, 13 country pavilions, and 600 startups showcasing real-world AI applications under themes of People, Planet, and Progress. The event is expected to attract more than 2.5 lakh visitors and aims to foster global partnerships in AI innovation.
