Officials said the ₹25.41 crore initiative is inspired by the Passport Seva Kendra model and is aimed at improving access to welfare schemes and employment services. The project will be implemented by the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, which has initiated the process of hiring an agency to design, develop and operate 13 static and 13 mobile KSK units.The rollout will take place in phases, prioritising high-demand areas before expanding across the city. Additionally, 39 labour chowks will be established—three in each of Delhi’s 13 revenue districts—to provide workers with access to job opportunities and basic amenities such as sanitation, drinking water and first aid.According to officials, the KSKs will offer services including worker registration, labour card renewal and integration of records into state and national databases. Workers will also have access to a mobile application for availing services online.The centres will function as AI-enabled digital hubs, ensuring automated processing of applications and real-time tracking of benefits such as medical assistance, welfare kits and direct benefit transfers, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
