BMC Issues Notice to Dhurandhar 2 Studio for Alleged Rule Breach in Mumbai

DIVYA DELHI : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has proposed blacklisting B62 Studios, owned by Aditya Dhar, following repeated safety and regulatory breaches during the filming of Dhurandhar 2. The A-ward office recommended the move after the production team reportedly changed filming locations, used a building terrace without permits, and operated two generator vans without approvals. Lit torches on set in a high-security zone prompted Mumbai Police intervention and seizure of the equipment. The BMC has already forfeited the film’s ₹25,000 security deposit and proposed an additional fine of ₹1 lakh. A formal letter recommending a permanent ban from the state’s single-window filming portal has been sent to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner. Separately, Mumbai Police registered an FIR on February 1 against location manager Rinku Rajpal Valmiki for flying a drone in the high-security Fort area without permission, under Section 223 of the IPC. The studio has not been officially blacklisted yet, but the proposal has been cleared for further action.
