DIVYA DELHI : Former Congress MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu has openly criticised Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, saying he is “disconnected from ground realities” and “doesn’t deserve that chair.” Speaking to the media, Sidhu alleged corruption in the Punjab Congress unit, claimed the party leadership had sold election tickets, and predicted its defeat in next year’s state polls. She said she repeatedly sought a meeting with Gandhi to discuss “injustice” by Punjab Congress leaders but was ignored. Sidhu, wife of former cricketer and Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, also compared Gandhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that while Gandhi “talks well,” his actions do not match his words. Her remarks follow her recent exit from Congress, days after being expelled amid allegations that the Punjab leadership demanded Rs 500 crore for the Chief Minister post if Congress wins the polls.
