The Vvaan Review: Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia Starrer Struggles to Find Its Way

DIVYA DELHI : The Vvaan, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead, sets out with an intriguing premise but struggles to translate its ideas into a consistently engaging cinematic experience. The film attempts to combine mystery, suspense and drama, yet its uneven storytelling often prevents the narrative from finding a clear direction. The forest backdrop adds an atmospheric layer to the story, creating an immediate sense of mystery. Sidharth Malhotra brings intensity to his character, while Tamannaah Bhatia adds emotional weight to the proceedings. However, the performances are not always supported by a screenplay that gives the characters enough depth or momentum. The film’s biggest challenge lies in its pacing. Several sequences take longer than necessary to reach their intended impact, while the narrative moves between different developments without always building enough tension. What could have been a gripping mystery gradually becomes a somewhat predictable and stretched-out affair. The technical aspects, particularly the setting and visual atmosphere, help establish the film’s world. However, these strengths cannot completely overcome the screenplay’s inconsistencies. Overall, The Vvaan has the ingredients of an engaging mystery but struggles to bring them together into a compelling and cohesive story.
