DIVYA DELHI : Indian Railways is set to introduce the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express between New Delhi and Varanasi, aiming to provide passengers with a faster and more comfortable overnight travel option. The new service is expected to strengthen rail connectivity between the national capital and the prominent religious and cultural city of Uttar Pradesh. As per the proposed schedule, Train No. 27422 will depart from New Delhi at 9:40 pm and reach Varanasi at 6:45 am the following morning. The overnight service is designed to allow passengers to travel comfortably while saving daytime hours. The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is expected to offer modern facilities, comfortable sleeping arrangements and an improved passenger experience. The introduction of the service is likely to benefit tourists, pilgrims, business travellers and regular commuters travelling between the two cities. The train is scheduled to be launched on October 31, 2026. Passengers are advised to check the official Indian Railways timetable and reservation portal for confirmed timings, stoppages, ticket availability and other operational details before planning their journey.
