DIVYA DELHI : European stocks fell on Tuesday as fresh trade tariff threats from US President Donald Trump rattled markets. The pan-European Stoxx 600 slipped around 0.7% in early trade, with losses across all major sectors. Sentiment weakened after Trump warned of higher tariffs on several European countries and threatened a 200% levy on French wine and champagne. Shares of French luxury and drinks companies declined, while European leaders criticised the move and signalled possible countermeasures. Investor focus is now shifting to key speeches at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
