DIVYA DELHI : Jaipur/New Delhi: An Air India Dreamliner operating on the Frankfurt–Delhi route was diverted to Jaipur following a bomb threat, triggering a security alert and precautionary measures. The incident raised concerns over aviation security and prompted the authorities to initiate the necessary safety procedures. According to the initial information, the aircraft was scheduled to travel from Frankfurt, Germany, to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. However, following the bomb threat alert, the flight was diverted to Jaipur instead of continuing directly to the national capital. Such diversions are carried out as a precaution to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members while security agencies assess potential threats. The aircraft’s diversion brought the focus on the established security protocols followed by airlines and airport authorities when they receive information about a possible explosive device onboard. In such situations, the relevant agencies are required to assess the threat, coordinate with airport security personnel and take appropriate action before allowing normal operations to resume.
