DIVYA DELHI : Seven soldiers were injured during an encounter with terrorists in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. The gunfight broke out when security forces came under fire while conducting a search operation in the harsh terrain. The operation, named ‘Operation Trashi-I’ by the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, began around noon. The injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital, and their condition is said to be stable. According to officials, two to three foreign terrorists linked to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad opened fire and hurled grenades while attempting to break the security cordon. Security forces retaliated, and reinforcements from the Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police were rushed to the spot. The operation is still underway, with drones and sniffer dogs deployed to track the terrorists. Security has been further tightened ahead of Republic Day celebrations.
