DIVYA DELHI : A Sessions Court at Rohini has imposed an interim stay on the implementation of a lower court order directing the preservation of CCTV footage from Adarsh Nagar Police Station and the production of the Call Detail Records (CDR) of a police officer. The order was passed by Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ-03) Jagmohan Singh while hearing a revision petition filed by Sub-Inspector Rajesh Kumar. Advocate Rishabh Jain appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner police officer. The matter relates to FIR No. 440/2026 registered at Adarsh Nagar Police Station under Sections 109(1)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act. The revision petition was filed against an order passed on September 2, 2026, by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), North District. The lower court had allowed an application filed by Accused No. 2 under Section 94 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), directing the preservation of CCTV footage from the cameras installed at Adarsh Nagar Police Station and the submission of the CDR of SI Rajesh Kumar. In the revision petition, the police officer sought an interim stay on the implementation of the lower court’s order until the revision petition was fully considered and decided. After considering the submissions and examining the case file, the Sessions Court granted interim relief. The court also issued notice to Respondent No. 2 in connection with the revision petition. The court will consider the lower court’s order and the related legal issues during the further hearing of the matter.
