DIVYA DELHI : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was taken back to Adiala Jail on Friday after undergoing a court-ordered medical examination at a hospital in Islamabad. The government said a team of doctors assessed Khan and declared him “medically fit” following the check-up. The medical examination came after Pakistan’s Supreme Court directed authorities to shift the incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder to Shifa International Hospital amid concerns raised over his health, particularly his eyesight. Khan was examined by medical specialists, including doctors from relevant fields, before being returned to prison under tight security. Khan’s family and supporters have repeatedly expressed concerns about his health and called for access to independent medical specialists. Government authorities, however, have maintained that adequate medical facilities have been available to him during his imprisonment.
