DIVYA DELHI : Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has opened up about one of the most challenging financial phases of his career, revealing that he was once dealing with debt of nearly ₹56 crore. In a recent interview, the actor said he remained positive despite the financial pressure and eventually sold his own assets to clear the outstanding dues. According to Deol, the financial difficulties were linked in part to his ventures into film production and direction. Some of his projects did not perform as expected, putting considerable pressure on his finances. At one stage, a bank had even issued an auction notice concerning his Juhu property over dues reported at ₹55.99 crore. Despite the situation, Deol said he did not view the setback with bitterness, emphasizing that the financial responsibility was his own. His career later witnessed a major turnaround with the success of Gadar 2 in 2023, which brought him back into the spotlight. Deol’s candid revelation highlights the financial risks associated with filmmaking and his determination to overcome a difficult period through personal assets and perseverance.
