DIVYA DELHI : A 26-year-old Indian Army jawan was found dead inside a hotel room in the Satya Niketan area of southwest Delhi on Saturday, August 22, police said. The deceased was identified as Anil Sai Tejja Vallepu, a native of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, who was posted with the Army in Hisar, Haryana. According to police, a PCR call was received at the South Campus police station at around 12:20 pm regarding the incident. A police team immediately reached the hotel and found the Army personnel hanging inside the room. The Crime Team was subsequently called to the spot to examine the scene. Police said Vallepu had checked into the hotel on August 19 and had been staying alone. A suicide note was recovered from the room during the investigation. Officials stated that the note did not contain allegations against any individual. The deceased’s body was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for further legal proceedings, including post-mortem examination. Police have initiated proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
