Gujarat Police Conducts Over 5,000 Awareness Sessions Under Cyber Safety Drive

Divya Delhi : The Gujarat Police has conducted more than 5,000 awareness sessions as part of its ongoing cyber safety drive aimed at educating citizens about online fraud, cybercrime and safe digital practices. The initiative focuses on increasing public awareness about common cyber threats, including phishing, online scams, identity theft and fraudulent digital transactions. Police officials have been engaging with students, senior citizens, businesses and members of the public to explain ways to identify and prevent cybercrime. Through these awareness programmes, citizens are being encouraged to remain cautious while sharing personal information, using digital payment platforms and responding to suspicious messages, calls or links. The campaign also seeks to promote timely reporting of cybercrime incidents to the authorities. The large number of sessions reflects Gujarat Police’s efforts to strengthen cyber awareness and digital safety among citizens as online activities and digital transactions continue to expand.
