The Seva Kamna Welfare and Educational Trust organized a magnificent event dedicated to the dignity of women and the spirit of service. Held in Shahdara, the event witnessed a remarkable confluence of faith, devotion, and service. The Mahalakshmi Pujan—regarded in the Sanatan tradition as a festival that yields infinite spiritual rewards—is a time when acts of charity and service are considered to possess eternal merit. Upholding this very spirit, the Trust performed a ceremonial worship of 251 women, honoring them as embodiments of the Divine Goddess. During the program, the chief guests were felicitated with Tulsi (Holy Basil) saplings and commemorative mementos. The occasion was graced by the special presence of numerous dignitaries from society, social workers, municipal councilors, representatives from the Shahdara Police Station jurisdiction, Market Association presidents, and revered saints. Applauding the initiative, everyone present described the event as an inspiring endeavor for society. Following the worship ceremony, chunaris (sacred scarves), prasad (sacred food offerings), and gifts were distributed to all the women. Everyone attending the event lauded this unique initiative dedicated to women’s dignity, hailing it as a vibrant testament to Indian culture. The organization’s Founder and President, Anu Bhatia, stated, “Women constitute the strength of society and serve as the very bedrock of our cultural values. Honoring them is, indeed, the truest form of service.” She further highlighted that, under its ‘Annadan Mahadan’ (The Great Gift of Food) service initiative, the Trust has been consistently assisting the needy and remains committed to continuing such acts of service in the future. The successful execution of the event was made possible through the exceptional contributions of the Trust’s office bearers and members—including Vishal Chhibber, Vijay Grover, Mukesh Gaur, Hema Modi, Ritu Sharma, Neelam Arora, Priyanka Nain, Sangam Garg, Kusum Sharma, Renu Kohli, Sakshi Agarwal, Mona Sharma, Suman Khetrapal, Renu Gupta, Sumit Sen, and others.
