Traffic Curbs Announced in Delhi Ahead of AI Impact Summit

DIVYA DELHI : The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the five-day AI Impact Summit scheduled from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam. The international summit is expected to see participation from heads of state, senior ministers, global delegates and leaders of major international organisations. In view of the high-profile event, special traffic arrangements will be implemented across the New Delhi district and adjoining areas. According to the advisory, regulated traffic movement will be enforced around the venue. Certain stretches, including Bhairon Marg (excluding Ring Road T-Point) and Mathura Road from Subramania Bharti Marg T-Point to Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk, will remain restricted during VVIP movements. General vehicular entry will not be allowed on these routes at designated times. Vehicles not destined for Delhi will be diverted to the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways. Essential services such as ambulances will receive priority passage. Commuters travelling to airports and railway stations are advised to plan ahead and consider using Metro services to avoid delays. The Delhi Police has urged residents and visitors to cooperate and plan their journeys in advance to minimise inconvenience during the summit.
