Divya Delhi : The West Bengal Government has announced a programme to provide free cervical cancer vaccination to girls living in red-light areas across the state. The initiative aims to protect vulnerable adolescents from cervical cancer and improve access to preventive healthcare. Health officials said the vaccination drive will target eligible girls through government healthcare facilities and outreach programmes. The campaign is expected to be carried out with the support of local health workers, NGOs, and community organisations to ensure maximum coverage. The state government said the initiative reflects its commitment to strengthening public health services and reducing the burden of cervical cancer through early prevention.
