Viksit Bharat 2047: Ajay Kumar Keshari Inspires IIT Kharagpur with India’s Growth Vision

DIVYA DELHI : As India advances toward its 100th year of Independence, the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 is gaining strong momentum. Addressing students and faculty at IIT Kharagpur Shri Ajay Kumar Keshari, IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax, Pune, outlined a comprehensive roadmap for building a developed, inclusive, and technology-driven India. He highlighted that India’s economy, currently nearing USD 4.5 trillion, is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, with a long-term goal of crossing USD 30 trillion by 2047. Emphasizing that development goes beyond GDP, he stressed four key pillars—economic empowerment, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and smart governance. Shri Keshari underscored the role of youth, women, farmers, MSMEs, and technology in nation-building, citing transformative initiatives like DBT, UPI, Ayushman Bharat, PM-KISAN, Startup India, and digital governance platforms. He urged students to lead innovation in AI, quantum technologies, clean energy, and frontier sciences, concluding that Viksit Bharat 2047 is a collective, citizen-driven national mission, not just a vision.
