In a significant operation against illegal migrants, the Foreigner Cell of the North-West District has apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals. The operation was successfully carried out on 16.03.2026 within the jurisdiction of PS Mukherjee Nagar, in the vicinity of the GTB Nagar Metro Station. A secret informer provided specific intelligence regarding a Bangladeshi national involved in human trafficking. Acting swiftly on this information, a dedicated team of the Foreigner Cell, North-West District, comprising of SI Sapan, SI Shyambir, ASI Rajinder, HC Vikram, W/HC Deepak, Ct. Nishant, and Ct. Deepak Bangar was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Vipin Kumar (Foreigner Cell) and overall supervision of Sh. Rajeev
Kumar, ACP/Foreigners Cell. The team laid a strategic trap near the GTB Nagar Metro Station. During the surveillance, the informer give the preplanned sign and, on his instance, the primary suspect, Robiul Mulla, was intercepted and detained. Initially during preliminary questioning, it was revealed that Robiul Mulla had been previously deported from India in the year 2025 but again he managed to re-enter the country illegally to resume his illegal activities. Upon his sustained interrogation and at his instance, his female accomplice, Arjina Khatun, was also apprehended from the same area. Both individuals were found to be staying in India illegally without any valid travel documents.On further interrogation he stated that he has brought few females illegally in India for illegally activities. Investigation regarding the other illegal Bangladeshi brought by Robiul Mulla is going on. Necessary legal action was initiated as per provisions of law. The apprehended Bangladeshi nationalswere produced before the FRRO, and deportation proceedings were initiated as per established procedures. Investigation regarding other accomplice is going on.
