Divya Delhi :The Shriram Institute for Industrial Research marked its Foundation Day with its annual scientific oration at the Sir Shankar Lal Concert Hall, University of Delhi, celebrating six decades of its prestigious lecture series. The 60th lecture was delivered by Dr. Ranjana Nallamalli, Head of Directorate of Futuristic Technology Management at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Addressing the theme “DRDO Empowering India’s Defense through Innovation and Technology Excellence,” she emphasized the importance of indigenous innovation in strengthening national security and highlighted DRDO’s initiatives in futuristic technology and self-reliance in defense systems. The programme was presided over by Prof. Akhilesh Tyagi, Chairman of the Board of Governors. Dr. Mukul Das, Director of the institute, welcomed distinguished scientists, academicians, students, and industry leaders, reiterating the institute’s commitment to advancing scientific research and innovation. On the occasion, Madhav B. Shriram, Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors, felicitated employees with long service awards, recognizing their dedication and contributions. The annual lecture series continues to serve as a platform for intellectual exchange and thought leadership, inspiring future generations of researchers to contribute to India’s scientific and technological progress.
