Rahul Gandhi Under Fire as Centre Slams Congress Over Shirtless March at Summit

DIVYA DELHI : The BJP-led central government on Friday slammed the Congress after members of the party’s youth wing staged a shirtless protest at the ongoing India AI Summit at Bharat Mandapam. Around 10 Indian Youth Congress workers were briefly detained for raising slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi inside the venue. BJP leaders, including Sambit Patra and Amit Malviya, called the act “topless, brainless, shameless” and accused Rahul Gandhi of orchestrating the disruption to embarrass India on the global stage. Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Rajnath Singh, Bhupender Yadav, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath condemned the protest as an attempt to tarnish India’s image during a high-profile international event. The protesters carried T-shirts with images of Prime Minister Modi and US President Donald Trump and raised slogans about trade deals and other political issues. The Indian Youth Congress defended the protest, claiming it was a demonstration against a “compromised Prime Minister” and a “disorganised PR spectacle” at the summit.
