The envoy emphasised that bilateral relations between the two nations have expanded across areas including trade, defence, technology, and people-to-people connections. The Philippines representative said India’s leadership has played an important role in strengthening cooperation with partner countries. The envoy noted that the relationship between the two nations has witnessed significant progress in recent years, with both sides working together on regional security, economic growth, and strategic cooperation. India and the Philippines have been focusing on enhancing collaboration in defence and maritime security, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region. Officials from both countries have also expressed commitment towards expanding economic partnerships and cultural exchanges. The remarks come as both nations continue efforts to deepen their diplomatic ties and explore new areas of cooperation.
