Divya Delhi : Pakistan has carried out bombing raids inside Afghanistan after the Afghan Taliban launched a major offensive against Pakistani military positions near the border, marking a serious escalation in tensions between the neighbouring countries. The Taliban said it began attacks late along several border provinces, including Nangarhar and Paktika, and reportedly used drones to strike targets inside Pakistan, though Islamabad says all were destroyed. Pakistan responded within hours with aerial strikes on Kabul and border regions such as Kandahar and Paktika. Clashes were also reported near the key Torkham crossing. This follows a ceasefire agreement reached last October after deadly clashes, but details on casualties from the latest violence are still emerging.
