Divyab Delhi : North-West Delhi Police has taken major action against narcotics trafficking by conducting four separate operations across the district. The police arrested five alleged drug peddlers, including a Nigerian woman, and apprehended one Child in Conflict with Law (CCL). A large quantity of illegal substances, including hydroponic weed, ganja, heroin and MDMA, was recovered during the operations. According to the police, the Anti-Narcotics Squad along with teams from Adarsh Nagar and Jahangir Puri police stations seized 1.180 kg of hydroponic weed (OG) worth around ₹1.1 crore, 10.530 kg of ganja, 396.33 grams of heroin and 9.76 grams of MDMA. The teams also recovered ₹28,800 suspected drug sale proceeds, mobile phones, electronic weighing machines and packing material used for drug distribution. The first operation was conducted near Madhuban Chowk Metro Station, where police arrested Sandip Singh, a resident of West Bengal, and recovered hydroponic weed from his possession. During questioning, he allegedly revealed that he entered the illegal drug trade to earn quick money. In another operation in Adarsh Nagar, police arrested Joinal and recovered more than 10 kg of ganja from him. Police said that he was previously involved in criminal cases, including an NDPS Act case. During a raid in Azadpur’s Lal Bagh area, police arrested Nahim along with a CCL and recovered heroin. Based on his information, police later arrested Archi Marina, a Nigerian national, from Uttam Nagar and recovered MDMA from her possession. In the fourth operation, Jahangir Puri Police arrested Marzina alias Ruksana and recovered heroin, cash and mobile phones. Police said she had earlier been involved in an NDPS case.
