Divya Delhi : New Delhi July 4 Students who are forced to discontinue their college education due to financial, personal, or other reasons may no longer lose their academic progress under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit (ME-ME) system allows eligible students to leave a course at different stages with a recognized qualification and return later to complete their degree using previously earned academic credits. The system is supported by the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), which digitally stores students’ credits for future use. Under the framework, students who complete one year of undergraduate study can receive a certificate, those completing two years can earn a diploma, three years lead to a bachelor’s degree, and four years result in a bachelor’s degree with honours or research. The reform aims to reduce dropout-related losses, increase flexibility, and encourage lifelong learning.
