National Akali Dal to Protest Against Bangladesh Government

Divya Delhi : The incidents of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh are continuously increasing, raising serious concerns over the safety of minorities in the country. National Akali Dal President Paramjit Singh Pamma has expressed strong outrage over the situation, accusing the Bangladesh government of failing to protect minorities. Pamma stated that violence against Hindus in Bangladesh shows no signs of stopping. He said that hatred has once again attempted to claim an innocent life. In a recent incident in the Shariatpur area, a Hindu man identified as Khokan Chandra was reportedly surrounded by a mob, brutally beaten, and stabbed with a knife. The attackers then allegedly attempted to burn him alive by pouring petrol on him. According to Pamma, such incidents indicate that fear of the law has completely disappeared, leading to a situation of growing lawlessness where minorities are being targeted daily. He further claimed that at least 42 attacks on Hindus have taken place, along with arson in 36 houses, attacks on multiple temples, and incidents of land grabbing. Pamma also pointed out that since the interim government led by Yunus came to power in Bangladesh, hundreds of people have reportedly lost their lives in mob violence. He described the situation as deeply unfortunate and alarming. Condemning the attacks, Paramjit Singh Pamma urged the Bangladesh government to take immediate and strict action to ensure the safety and security of minorities. He warned that if such attacks continue, the National Akali Dal will launch protests against the Bangladesh government to raise international awareness about the issue.
