DIVYA DELHI : The Kerala High Court on Tuesday sought a screening of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond after observing that its teaser and trailer “wrongly portray” the people of the State. Hearing pleas challenging the censor certificate granted to the film, Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas said, “The people of Kerala live in harmony and uphold secularism. But the film portrays them wrongly.” The court noted that since the filmmakers used “Kerala” in the title while claiming it presents a pan-India story, public apprehensions could not be ignored and there was a risk of communal tension. The Bench directed that the film be screened before it on Wednesday and asked the Centre to come up with instructions in the post-lunch session.
