The skipper said the players are focused on creating history and bringing the World Cup trophy back to India. Speaking ahead of the tournament, Harmanpreet highlighted the team’s preparation, unity, and determination to perform at the highest level. He said the squad is motivated by the opportunity to achieve a milestone that has eluded India since its last Hockey World Cup triumph in 1975. The captain acknowledged the tough competition but expressed belief in the team’s ability to rise to the occasion. He also credited the coaching staff and support team for preparing the players physically and mentally for the challenge ahead.
