officer in Delhi has been remanded to police custody as chilling details of the case continue to emerge.According to investigators, the accused, identified as Rahul, allegedly committed another sexual assault hours before the murder in Alwar. Police said he travelled to Delhi the next morning, entered his former employer’s residence in south Delhi using a spare key, and targeted the 22-year-old victim who was alone in a rooftop study.Officials allege that Rahul strangled the victim using a mobile phone charging cable and later assaulted her while she was unconscious. He then reportedly dragged her to another room, attempted to access a locker using her fingerprint, and eventually broke it open to steal cash and jewellery before fleeing.During interrogation, police said the accused showed little remorse and gave inconsistent statements. However, in court, he admitted to committing the crime, claiming it was motivated by money. The magistrate clarified that his statement would not be treated as a formal confession.Police revealed that Rahul had previously worked for the family and was familiar with their routine. Authorities are also probing the Alwar assault case, conducting forensic analysis, and reconstructing his movements using CCTV footage.
