Divya Delhi : A case of mobile snatching reported in the Rani Bagh area has been solved by Delhi Police with the arrest of an accused within 48 hours. The incident occurred on July 22, 2026, when the complainant was walking towards a park near Saraswati Vihar. An unidentified person allegedly approached him from behind, snatched his mobile phone, and fled from the spot. Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered at Rani Bagh Police Station under Section 304(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A dedicated police team was formed to trace the accused. During the investigation, CCTV footage from multiple locations was examined and intelligence inputs were gathered. Acting on specific information, police conducted a raid and arrested Ashu alias Lavish. Police further stated that the recovered scooty was found to be stolen and was linked to an e-FIR registered at Tilak Nagar Police Station. Further investigation is underway to identify the accused’s involvement in other criminal activities.
