DIVYA DELHI : China on Tuesday confirmed it has received an invitation from the United States to join President Donald Trump’s proposed “Board of Peace.” Foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said Beijing had acknowledged the invite but did not clarify whether China would accept it. The board, initially conceived to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction, is expected to have a broader mandate, with several global leaders reportedly invited to join. Guo also said China–US ties have remained largely stable over the past year despite trade tensions, stressing that cooperation benefits both nations while confrontation causes harm.
