Mumbai: Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, has wrapped up its first week in theatres on a strong note, collecting Rs 135.45 crore worldwide despite mixed critical reviews. The horror-comedy, directed by Priyadarshan, continues to draw audiences, benefiting from positive word-of-mouth and the star’s mass appeal.The film had a solid opening weekend, earning Rs 58 crore, and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally within just four days, including paid preview collections. According to trade estimates, the movie maintained a steady performance during the weekdays. It collected Rs 6.75 crore on Day 4, Rs 8 crore on Day 5, Rs 6.15 crore on Day 6, and added Rs 5.15 crore on Day 7 across 10,506 shows nationwide.With this, the film’s India gross stands at Rs 99.95 crore, while the India net collection is Rs 84.05 crore. Overseas, the film earned Rs 2 crore on Day 7, taking its total international gross to Rs 35.50 crore.‘Bhooth Bangla’ also ended the box office dominance of Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh.The film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after nearly 16 years. The cast includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, and the late Asrani in his final screen appearance.
