Akshay Kumar injured while filming stunt for ‘Bhooth Bangla’; BTS video shows actor losing balance during jump kick

Divya Delhi: Actor Akshay Kumar sustained an injury while filming a high-risk stunt for his upcoming horror comedy Bhooth Bangla in Mumbai, drawing attention from fans and the film industry alike. The incident occurred during an intense action sequence, as revealed in a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video shared by the makers. The footage shows Kumar, known for performing his own stunts, executing a dramatic mid-air jump kick. However, he appears to lose balance upon landing and falls, injuring himself in the process. Despite the mishap, the actor’s commitment to performing real stunts has once again come into focus. Kumar has previously spoken about his reluctance to rely on visual effects and artificial enhancements in action scenes. He has emphasised that authentic stunts bring a sense of realism and thrill that audiences can genuinely connect with, setting him apart in an era increasingly dependent on technology. The film also features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Wamiqa Gabbi. Directed by Priyadarshan, the project is backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films. Originally scheduled for release on April 10, the film will now hit theatres on April 16, following a strategic shift by the producers to accommodate box office dynamics.
