Addressing the media, AAP leaders alleged that Congress and its affiliated groups were trying to dilute the momentum of the ongoing protest through political interference. The party claimed the student movement was being diverted from its original objectives and accused the Congress of prioritising political interests over students’ concerns. The Congress has rejected the allegations, maintaining that it supports students’ democratic right to protest and is committed to raising issues affecting young people. Political observers say the exchange of accusations reflects growing tensions between opposition parties over the handling and leadership of student movements.
