DIVYA DELHI : IMD Issues Red Alert in Several Delhi Areas as Rain, Thunderstorms Lash City The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for parts of Delhi, including North West, West, South West, Outer North and Central Delhi, warning of severe weather conditions. Light to moderate rainfall was recorded across the city, with heavier spells in areas such as Palam, Ridge and Pitampura. Orange alerts were also issued for North East Delhi, East Delhi and Shahdara. The weather office forecast thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds up to 50 kmph and isolated heavy rain over the next few hours. Temperatures are expected to drop, with the maximum around 19°C.
