DIVYA DELHI : New delhi Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, has opened on a strong note at the box office, benefitting from solid advance bookings and a wide release across 4,500 screens worldwide. According to Sacnilk, the film secured an all-India advance booking gross of ₹12.5 crore for day one, with total bookings touching ₹17.5 crore including blocked seats. By afternoon shows on opening day, Border 2 had already earned ₹7.24 crore. The release has impacted the long-running Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, which saw a sharp drop in collections in its seventh week despite an overall haul of over ₹830 crore. Trade analysts expect Border 2 to capitalise on the extended Republic Day weekend, with projections suggesting a near ₹35 crore opening day and a long-weekend collection crossing ₹125 crore
