Diljit Dosanjh Gets Police Clearance for Delhi Concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

DIVYA DELHI : Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is set to perform at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30 after the Delhi Police granted permission for the much-awaited concert. The approval came after authorities and organisers held discussions over security, traffic management and crowd-control arrangements. The clearance was granted a day after police had initially withheld permission, citing threat-related inputs and heavy law-and-order responsibilities during the ongoing festive season. Organisers subsequently presented a revised security plan and assured authorities that additional safety and traffic-management requirements would be followed. According to officials, the security arrangements are expected to include around 1,500 to 2,000 private security personnel to help manage queues, entry gates, help kiosks and pedestrian movement around the stadium. Police are also planning a 500–700 metre pedestrian and no-car zone around the venue to reduce congestion and improve crowd movement. The concert will mark the Delhi opening of Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour, which is scheduled to travel to several other Indian cities following the national capital. The singer also confirmed that the Delhi show would go ahead, addressing reports surrounding the earlier uncertainty. With the police clearance now in place, fans can look forward to Dosanjh taking the stage at JLN Stadium on October 30, while authorities continue preparations to ensure a safe and smooth experience for concertgoers and commuters.
