DIVYA DELHI : Chennai: Tensions erupted in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday after Governor RN Ravi skipped his customary address and walked out, alleging that the national anthem was “insulted.” The incident occurred after the state anthem was played at the start of the session. Raj Bhavan later accused the state government of muting the Governor’s microphone and presenting a speech with misleading claims. Chief Minister MK Stalin hit back, calling the walkout a violation of Assembly traditions and accusing the Governor of disrespecting Tamil sentiments. Despite the walkout, the House adopted the Governor’s speech on record, highlighting ongoing friction between Raj Bhavan and the ruling DMK ahead of the Assembly elections.
