Delhi-Bihar Bus Service May Start Ahead of Chhath Festival

DIVYA DELHI : A new bus service connecting Delhi with Bihar is likely to begin before the Chhath festival, offering an additional travel option for passengers heading to the state during the festive season. As part of the proposed service, 18 routes have been identified to improve connectivity between the national capital and various destinations in Bihar. The initiative is expected to provide greater convenience to passengers, particularly those travelling home for Chhath, one of Bihar’s most widely observed festivals. The festival typically witnesses a significant increase in passenger movement from Delhi and other cities towards Bihar. Officials are working on the proposed routes and operational arrangements, with the aim of starting services before the festival rush. The planned connectivity is also expected to ease pressure on existing transport services during the peak travel period. The introduction of buses on multiple routes could provide passengers with more travel choices and help strengthen road connectivity between Delhi and Bihar. Further details regarding bus timings, fares, boarding points and the exact date of commencement are expected to be announced once the arrangements are finalised.
