DIVYA DELHI : US President Donald Trump has expressed optimism that Russia and Ukraine could reach an agreement to end the ongoing war, saying he believes “something is going to happen.” Trump made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Trump said he and Zelenskyy were discussing ways to find a solution to the conflict and indicated that he had also been discussing the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I think they’re going to make a deal,” Trump said, while declining to provide details of what such an agreement could involve.Zelenskyy said he hoped the war could be brought to an end as soon as possible, preferably before winter.
