Kurla Accident: Crane Collapses During JCB Lifting, Leaves 10 Injured.

DIVYA DELHI : A crane collapsed while lifting a JCB in Mumbai’s Kurla area, leaving at least 10 people injured, including a three-month-old baby, officials said. The incident occurred near a slum locality, where the crane was reportedly being used to move the heavy construction equipment. According to preliminary information, the crane lost stability during the lifting operation and suddenly collapsed, causing panic among people in the surrounding area. Several individuals in the vicinity were struck or affected by the falling structure and sustained injuries. Among those injured was a three-month-old infant, raising concerns over the safety of construction and lifting operations in densely populated areas. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The condition of the victims was not immediately available. Emergency personnel and local authorities reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated rescue and relief operations. The area was secured to prevent further danger, while authorities began examining the circumstances that led to the crane collapse. Officials are expected to investigate whether safety protocols were followed during the JCB lifting operation and whether any negligence or equipment failure contributed to the accident.
