DIVYA DELHI : Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, who was serving a life sentence in connection with a 1984 anti-Sikh riots murder case, has died, according to reports. Kumar was convicted in a case related to the killing of members of a Sikh family during the violence that followed the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984. The former parliamentarian was sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of murder and other offences. His conviction marked a significant development in the long-running legal proceedings linked to the 1984 riots, which claimed thousands of lives across the country.
