divya delhi : The Delhi Police has denied allegations of excessive use of force during a recent protest, stating that its personnel were tasked with managing a crowd of more than 30,000 protesters. According to the police, around 5,000 Staff were deployed to maintain law and order and prevent the situation from escalating. The police maintained that the measures taken at the protest site were aimed at crowd control and ensuring the safety of protesters, police personnel and the general public. Officials said managing such a large gathering presented significant challenges, particularly in maintaining movement and preventing any untoward incident. The allegations of excessive force had raised concerns over the manner in which the gathering was handled. Responding to the claims, Delhi Police officials emphasized that their personnel acted in accordance with established procedures and that the situation was brought under control. The police response comes amid continued attention on crowd management and the use of force during public demonstrations.
