Divya Delhi : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has mooted the idea of setting up a dedicated centre to foster innovation at the Young India Skills University, with the aim of creating more opportunities for students and young entrepreneurs. The proposed initiative is expected to provide an ecosystem where students can develop new ideas, work on innovative projects and gain exposure to industry requirements. The centre could also support research, entrepreneurship and technology-driven solutions. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of strengthening skill development alongside innovation to prepare Telangana’s youth for emerging employment opportunities. He said institutions must go beyond conventional education and encourage young people to become innovators and job creators. The proposed centre is expected to facilitate greater collaboration between the university, industries, startups and other stakeholders. Such partnerships could help students gain practical experience while enabling businesses to access new talent and ideas. The initiative is part of Telangana’s broader focus on developing a skilled and innovation-oriented workforce. The government aims to use the Skill University as a platform for equipping young people with industry-relevant capabilities and encouraging entrepreneurship.
