Divya Delhi : The Nihal Vihar Police Station team of Delhi Police’s Outer District has solved a robbery case within 24 hours and arrested three accused persons allegedly involved in the incident. Police have recovered the robbed mobile phone, car keys and the motorcycle used during the commission of the crime. The incident came to light after a taxi driver approached Nihal Vihar Police Station and reported that he was waiting for a passenger near Parshuram Dharamshala on the Nangloi–Najafgarh Road. According to the complaint, three unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and approached him on the pretext of asking for a cigarette. The accused allegedly took advantage of the situation and committed the robbery. One of them caught hold of the driver, another snatched his mobile phone, while the third took away the keys of his car. The accused then fled from the spot on their motorcycle. Following the complaint, police registered an FIR at PS Nihal Vihar under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A special investigation team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Shispal, SHO Nihal Vihar, under the supervision of ACP Paschim Vihar Rajbir Lamba. During the investigation, police analysed CCTV footage from nearby areas and developed local intelligence to identify the suspects. Based on specific information, police conducted a raid and arrested three accused persons — Gaurav alias Golu (22), Jishan alias Guddu (26), and Chandan (32), all residents of Nihal Vihar, Delhi. Police said that during interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the robbery. The stolen mobile phone, car keys and the motorcycle used in the crime were recovered. Police verification revealed that accused Gaurav and Jishan had previous involvement in criminal cases. Further investigation is underway.
