Divya Delhi : The annual Amarnath Yatra has crossed a major milestone, with more than 4 lakh pilgrims visiting the holy cave shrine within 24 days of the pilgrimage period. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), along with the Jammu and Kashmir administration and security agencies, has been managing the pilgrimage arrangements to ensure the safe and smooth movement of devotees. Pilgrims from different parts of the country have been participating in the religious journey despite challenging weather and difficult terrain. Officials said that extensive arrangements have been made for the safety and convenience of devotees, including medical facilities, security deployment, accommodation, and route management. The administration has also focused on maintaining crowd control and providing essential services along the pilgrimage routes. The Amarnath Yatra is an annual pilgrimage to the naturally formed ice Shivling at the Amarnath Cave, located in the Himalayas of Jammu and Kashmir. It attracts lakhs of devotees every year and is considered one of the most significant religious journeys in India. Authorities expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage so far and thanked security personnel, volunteers, and local communities for their support. The administration continues to monitor the situation and has advised pilgrims to follow safety guidelines during the remaining period of the yatra.
