Divya Delhi : Health authorities in Gujarat have intensified relief efforts following floods by deploying 24×7 medical teams and distributing more than 71,000 chlorine tablets in Ahmedabad to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases. The measures are aimed at protecting residents affected by flooding and ensuring access to essential healthcare services. Officials said medical teams are monitoring health conditions in affected areas, providing treatment and conducting awareness campaigns on hygiene and safe drinking water. The distribution of chlorine tablets is part of efforts to make contaminated water safer for public use and reduce the risk of infections. Authorities have also increased surveillance for flood-related illnesses and advised people to follow safety precautions during the recovery period.
