Rajasthan Health Department Reviews Records of Over One Lakh Pregnant Women

Divya Delhi : Jaipur, The Rajasthan Health Department has reviewed the medical records of more than one lakh pregnant women as part of an initiative to strengthen maternal healthcare and ensure timely medical intervention for high-risk pregnancies across the state. Health officials said the review aims to identify women requiring special medical attention, improve antenatal care, and reduce maternal and infant mortality. The exercise involved analysing health records maintained under various government maternal health programmes. The department has directed district health authorities to closely monitor high-risk pregnancies, ensure regular health check-ups, and provide necessary treatment and counselling. Officials added that pregnant women identified as vulnerable will receive priority healthcare services and continuous follow-up. The initiative is part of the state’s broader efforts to improve maternal and child health outcomes through better data monitoring, early diagnosis, and efficient healthcare delivery. Authorities believe the review will help strengthen healthcare services and ensure safer pregnancies across Rajasthan.
