Rajasthan Government to Conduct Intensive Health Screening of All Pregnant Women

Divya Delhi : Jaipur Rajasthan The Rajasthan government has announced an intensive health screening campaign for all pregnant women across the state to strengthen maternal healthcare and ensure the early detection of pregnancy-related complications. The initiative aims to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes by providing timely medical intervention and continuous monitoring. Under the programme, pregnant women will undergo comprehensive health check-ups at government healthcare facilities. Medical teams will screen for conditions such as anaemia, hypertension, gestational diabetes, and other high-risk pregnancy complications. Women identified as high-risk will receive specialised care, regular follow-ups, and referrals to higher medical centres when required. The campaign is part of the state’s efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates while ensuring access to quality antenatal care, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Health officials will also conduct awareness drives to encourage expectant mothers to attend regular prenatal check-ups and adopt healthy pregnancy practices. The government said the initiative reflects its commitment to strengthening public healthcare services and safeguarding the health of mothers and newborns through preventive and timely medical care.
