Divya Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a new vegetable sub-yard at the Dahegam Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Gujarat, aiming to improve agricultural marketing infrastructure and provide better facilities for farmers and traders. The modern sub-yard has been developed to streamline the sale of vegetables, reduce post-harvest losses, and ensure fair prices through efficient market operations. Addressing the gathering, Shah said the project reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and increasing farmers’ income by improving access to organised markets. He also highlighted the importance of modernising agricultural supply chains to enhance productivity and reduce wastage. Local farmers and traders welcomed the initiative, stating that the upgraded facility would make trading more transparent and convenient. The inauguration is expected to boost agricultural commerce in the region and support the overall development of Gujarat’s farming sector.
